South Africa named best value

South Africa named best value

Lonely Planet has named South Africa one of the best value destinations for 2015.

Africa experts Bench International have noted an increase in bookings to the destination in recent times.

“Budget conscious travellers will get more bang for their buck in destinations where rates are priced in South African Rand as opposed to the US Dollar,” Bench general manager Martin Edwards said.

“Compared to other safari destinations, South Africa also has much better infrastructure so getting to safari camps is easier and cheaper, and rates are lower because most camps have access to established power grids and water systems,”

Bench has created an itinerary, ‘Splendours of Southern Africa’, which incorporates four free nights and includes all meals whilst on safari. Travelling through South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, this 21-day itinerary is priced from $7,940 per person sharing.
