Simon Gatt joins the Travel Counsellors team

Travel Counsellors has added a new staff member to the head office team, with Simon Gatt joining the Travel Counsellors family in the role of business development executive.

Gatt will work alongside business development executives Adele Barbaro and Chriss Perry to provide advice, support and motivation to Travel Counsellors agents based in home offices all over Australia.

With years of experience working in the travel industry, Gatt’s most recent role was at Qantas. Focusing on both the corporate and leisure travel sector, this important role comes with an aim to drive and promote business growth and build relationships with Travel Counsellors agent.

“The travel sector is an evolving space, with lots of opportunity for growth based on building strong relationships and delivering quality service. I’m looking forward to working with Travel Counsellors agents to assist them to build their client-base,” Gatt said.

Travel Counsellors Australian gm Tracy Parkinson added that building a stronger team reflects the company’s future ambitions.

“Travel Counsellors is investing in new team members like Simon to keep up with the promising growth we are experiencing, in terms of both revenues and actual numbers,” she said.

“Our clients tend not to be driven purely by price (although we still have to be competitive). Due to the superior levels of service Travel Counsellors agents are known for delivering, we are in a beneficial position to grow in the future. I am really pleased to welcome Simon to the Travel Counsellors community, I’m sure he’ll have a positive impact.”

Gatt kicked things off with Travel Counsellors this week and while he will be based out of the head office located in Melbourne, his role involves extensive interstate travel.
