Royal Caribbean cancels Bali call

Royal Caribbean cancels Bali call

Following news Celebrity Solstice cancelled its Bali call earlier this week due to increased risk, Royal Caribbean have followed suit confirming two of its ships have changed itinerary.

“RCL Cruises has been closely monitoring the security situation in Indonesia, including recent travel advice from the Australian and UK governments related to the potential for terrorist attacks in the country,” the cruiseline said in a statement released today.

“We have taken the decision to cancel Celebrity Millennium’s overnight call to Bali on 16 and 17 March, as well as Radiance of the Seas’ call to Bali on 17 March.”

The itinerary changes means cruisers on Celebrity Millennium will instead spend an additional day in Singapore at the beginning of the cruise on 14 March, and an additional day in Darwin on 19 March. Radiance of the Seas will remain at sea for an additional day.

“We apologise for the impact on our guests’ cruise. Our guests’ vacation time is precious and we did not take these decisions lightly. The safety of our guests and crew is always our foremost concern.”

“We will continue to monitor the security situation in Indonesia and will notify guests or their travel agents if there are changes to future sailings that visit Indonesia.”
