Queensland’s ‘Understated Jewel’ reveals itself

Tigerair Australia has joined Mackay Airport, Mackay Regional Council & Mackay Tourism in attempts to promote the area, this time hoping to draw Melbournians to the special destination.

The joint marketing initiative will help boost efforts from the ‘101 Things To Do in the Mackay Region’ campaign that was launched earlier this year. This weekend, marketing partners will release a range of new initiatives targeting Victoria’s leisure market.

An episode of Coxy’s Big Break Travel will air in Victoria on Sunday 22 February, the episode highlighting some of the great tourist activities and attraction of Mackay. A ‘Mates Rates’ offer will also be available at the end of the show.

The Mackay Region will also be linked on the Tigerair website later this month and a social media campaign will encourage people to send their favourite things to do in Mackay in to win prizes to the region.

Tigerair’s inflight magazine also contains a feature article on the Mackay region and the Mackay Airport Beach Horse Racing Festival.
