QBT becomes sole travel provider to Aussie Govt

Today marks the official start of QBT’s appointment as the sole provider of travel management services to the Whole of Australian Government.

QBT was appointed sole provider of travel management services to the Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) in December 2014, with the transition commencing in February 2015.

This transition has been one of the largest transitions in Aussie travel history, involving the transition of 142 entities, the upload of more than 120,000 traveller profiles and the migration to a single online booking tool with Amadeus.

The transition was successfully accomplished, with QBT’s customer service to its other corporate customers sticking to its high levels during the four month changeover.

QBT attributes its success to the close partnership it has built with the WoAG Travel Contract Management Section of the Department of Finance.

“I am confident that the transition has been a complete success and it has been a pleasure to have worked alongside such an incredible team,” QBT’s group general manager Russell Carstensen said.

“We are privileged to be working with the Whole of the Australian Government. Today marks the end of the transition but it is only the beginning of the partnership and the real work to ensure continuous improvement starts now.”
