Opps! Did Royal Caribbean’s new ship name just get blurted out?

We’re often prone to mistakes (heck, it’s a daily occurrence), so we feel for those who sent out a press release with confidential information.

According to a report on Travel Agent Central a press release from FlowRider, the guys behind Royal Caribbean’s onboard surfing simulators, have possibly made the mistake of including the yet-to-be-revealed name of the fourth Oasis-class ship – Symphony of the Seas – when announcing their product would also appear on board.

Citing a report on Cruise Critic, Royal Caribbean has not confirmed the name, and the company has removed the press release from its website, but not before diligent Cruise Critic members took a screenshot of the original release.

The new ship is set to be make its debut mid-2018.

The Oasis class of ships have been hugely popular for the line, and are indeed huge. Its latest, Harmony of the Seas, was the largest cruise ship to be deployed when it made its debut in May 2016.

Royal Caribbean has also made large strides locally, deploying Ovation of the Seas in December to its homeport in Sydney, marking the debut of ‘supercruising’ to Australians.

Royal Caribbean was attempted to be reached for comment.
