This week, our midweek interview victim is Sarah Winters, director of leisure sales for North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association. And boy, is that a mouthful.

The challenge for the industry is…

Keeping up with the evolving trends of travel in every market.

The things I like about my job…

I can’t say it loud enough, I love my job. I love the opportunity to work within an industry that fuels my number one passion in life, travel.

The best thing about my job is re-experiencing North Lake Tahoe each time we touch a new visitor. To see the magic again through their eyes, makes it well worth it.

And the frustration is…

Finding balance when you are on the road too often.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be…

An entrepreneur, owning my own business has always been a dream of mine.

Favourite airline?

Jetblue – they make travelling in the US easy! More room, more entertainment and better cancellation policies.

My proudest moment was…

Professionally, it was becoming a Director of Sales by the time I turned 30.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was…

Hmm, even if I could remember, I can’t say I would share!

I try to relax by…

Being in nature – I love walking out my front door and exploring all Tahoe has to offer.

The last time I feared for my life was…

Running off the runway at Denver International Airport, but hey at least we made the news!

Anything stressful, the best part of living and working in North Lake Tahoe is the stress-free lifestyle.

More energy – I need way too much sleep to function!

Always have compassion for others as you never know their struggle.
