Luxury Escapes CEO and marketing boss make quiet exit

Luxury Escapes has confirmed the departure of CEO Cameron Holland and general manager of marketing Peita Golden.

Travel Weekly understands that both Holland (pictured above) and Golden left the online travel company last month.

Holland joined Luxury Escapes as its chief commercial officer in October 2018 before being promoted to the top role in February last year – the same month that Golden came on board as GM of marketing.

Luxury Escapes co-founder and major shareholder Adam Schwab has stepped in as interim CEO of the business.

Andrew McEvoy, chairman of Luxury Escapes, thanked Holland for his contribution to the business over two years, and said Schwab’s “safe, known pair of hands” would continue its growth.

“Adam knows the business intimately well and we are excited about our growth prospects,” McEvoy said in a statement to Travel Weekly.

Schwab was equally optimistic about Luxury Escapes’ prospects.

“We have an incredible team and an unbelievable brand. I’m honoured to be able to work with such amazing people,” he said.

“The business is in a perfect position to accelerate out of the turn and continue our journey as we come out of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Luxury Escapes has also appointed Sam Kharazmi as its first chief growth and consumer product officer.

Prior to joining Luxury Escapes, Kharazmi headed up customer growth and experience at Redbubble, a global online marketplace for print-on-demand products based on user-submitted artwork.

In his new role, Kharazmi will focus on the creation and delivery of Luxury Escapes’ digital strategy across personalisation, conversion optimisation, SEM, SEO, email and mobile.
