Based in Linkd’s Gold Coast office, Cassis will also be responsible for the promotion of some of the company’s US destinations to the trade.

Cassis began his career in the travel industry in 2006 as a team leader and international travel consultant at Flight Centre before progressing to Infinity Holidays as a wholesale reservations agent, and later stepping into marketing as Infinity’s marketing manager for the US.

Most recently, Cassis worked as national travel business development manager at Disney Destinations, where he led the Australian and New Zealand marketing and sales strategy and execution for all Walt Disney theme parks and resorts globally.

Linkd Tourism managing director Kylee Kay said: “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with and alongside Michael for several years and I’m thrilled to have his enthusiasm and experience on board.”

Commenting on his new role, Cassis said: “I’m really excited to join the Linkd Tourism team and promote some of my favourite destinations, including Japan and the USA.

“I look forward to supporting agents in upskilling and educating the trade on the fantastic sights and experiences in these destinations, readying for the reopening of the borders and beyond.”
