How will this new app transform your hotel stay?

Watch this space – this could be the app that changes your hotel stay for the better.

Broadband Solutions today launched an app designed to replace the in-room hotel phone for good.

Smartphone BBS works with Broadband Solutions SmartPABX cloud based phone system to automatically provide each guest with a free local number that can be used for the duration of their stay.

Broadband Solutions managing director Sam Bashiry explains, “International guests can use the number as their local number, effectively enabling the use of their overseas handsets in Australia for free.”

Guests simply download the app upon arrival, then enter their room number and surname to gain access.

It aims to help guests say goodbye to costly data roaming fees or the need for a second cheap mobile phone.

On top of this, the app also opens a direct line of communication between hotel staff and guests.

“Guests can easily order dinner from the pol or dry cleaning from the conference centre. Proprietors can let their guests know their dinner is ready or that their laundry is done whether they are in the hotel or not,” Bashiry said.

He stresses that how the hotel utilises the technology is up to management.

“Flexibility is key,” he adds.

The app can be used at any hotel utilising the SmartPABX phone system, and can be integrated seamlessly with various hotel CRM and reservation services to help hotels provide even better service to their guests.
