Accommodation bodies commend state governments on new funding

The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) WA has commended the Western Australian government for its announcement of an additional $10 million to support the state’s tourism, accommodation and hospitality industries.

AHA’s WA chief, Bradley Woods, said it was critical that early measures are taken to mitigate the dual impact of the recent bushfires and the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, TAA NSW chief executive Michael Johnson has praised the NSW government’s new $10 million package which aims to boost tourist visits to hard-hit regional areas.
