Hotel review: The Anantara, Seminyak

The Anantara is a luxury, 5-star oasis in the bustling heart of Seminyak.

With direct beach access and unparalleled views of Seminyak Beach, this is a property that ticks all the boxes when it comes to most travellers “best of” Bali list.Pool

As the shimmering infinity pool seemingly drops into the white sands of the beach at sunset, we sit and enjoy whole deep-fried snapper with a cold, crisp white wine at their (always open) beach bar.

With flawless service that would put many international restaurants to shame, this truly feels like paradise on earth.
Our room is both spacious and modern with furnishings and decor that we later learn is “uniquely Anantara”.

Anantara Ocean Suite

The outdoor bath is of particular interest to our kids and the views are second to none.

With all rooms facing Seminyak beach, this hotel has been designed with sunset gazing in mind.

Every guest is offered their own personal concierge who goes out of their way to ensure your experience is both personalised and completely bespoke.

We meet one couple that had requested local short rib from the markets be sourced, cooked and left in their room; needless to say the Anantara delivered without fault.

Located with absolute beach frontage and a stones’ throw from Seminyak’s best shopping, dining and entertainment precinct, this property offers the best of total luxury and relaxation combined with the excitement of what’s happening right outside.

The Anantara Seminyak’s flagship restaurant “Moonlite Kitchen and Bar” boasts some of Seminyak’s best views and over fresh oysters and few glasses of French rosé – sourced from their impressive wine cellar – we solved the problems of the world as the sun descended over the endless horizon.

MLKB

Moonlite’s menu comprises the best of local fare combined with a wide array of international options and Asian-inspired dishes with an exciting wine list that will please even the most discerning drinker.

For travellers looking for a destination that provides 5-star luxury, an unmatched location and endless dining options right in the heart of Seminyak, the Anantara is the perfect solution.

This property will be undergoing partial refurbishments in 2018/2019. These are expected to be complete by March 2019.
