SEE – Beyond the Streets

Beyond the Streets is a premier exhibition of graffiti, street art, celebrating the soaring heights to which the world’s most recognisable modern art movement has risen. The exhibition runs from 6 May – July 6, 2018.

HEAR – L.A. Philharmonic – 100th anniversary

The world-renowned Los Angeles Philharmonic is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Aussie travellers are invited to join a free, day-long festival called LA Phil 100, on Sunday 30 September. The day will include an open streets event than spans from the front of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, all the way to the Hollywood Bowl.

TASTE – Street Food Cinema

Los Angeles is home to the food truck trend and as such, Street Food Cinema is so much more than just an outdoor movie experience. Aussie travellers are able to experience a huge al fresco picnic, with the event featuring nearly 20 tasty food trucks, including Astro Doughnuts and Fried Chicken. Open every Saturday from 28 April to 27 October.

SMELL – Museum of Art and Olfaction

Aussie travellers can visit the Institute for Art and Olfaction in L.A’s Chinatown, an experimental lab and art space, devoted to creative experimentation with scent.

TOUCH – Silver Lake Op-Shops

In a neighbourhood that is known for its arty culture, Aussie travellers can shop like a boss and sift through many of L.A.’s famous Silver Lake thrift stores, touching a range of different fabrics and textures that capture the diversity of the city.
