Helloworld Travel has completed the acquisition of TravelEdge Group, following its announcement of the business deal last week.
The consideration for the acquisition was $28 million, with PwC and MinterEllison advising Helloworld on the transaction.
TravelEdge offers a full suite of corporate travel services including travel management solutions, academic travel services, event and group planning and delivery, holiday and leisure services, and travel prizing and incentives.
Kim Wethmar, CEO of TravelEdge, will continue to run the business from its Sydney headquarters.
In a statement issued to shareholders today, Helloworld CEO Andrew Burnes said: “We are delighted to welcome Traveledge into the Helloworld Travel Limited family and look forward to continuing to provide outstanding service to TravelEdge’s many corporate, educational institution and leisure clients throughout Australia and New Zealand.”
