“GOAL!”: Marriott entices Red Devil fans with exclusive stay at Old Trafford
Marriott International is giving one lucky Manchester United fan the chance to wake up in the Theatre of Dreams, pitch-side.
As well as an overnight stay in an exclusive pitch-view hotel suite the night before United’s West Ham match in May, the ‘Suite of Dreams’ sweepstake will give one fan the chance to take part in a number of all-access personal experiences that will bring them right to the heart of the team.
These include watching the first team train for match day, a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, the chance to rub shoulders with club legends at lunch overlooking the pitch and an exclusive sneak peek into some of the players’ favourite foods, warm-up music and must-have travel items.
“We’re thrilled to be recreating this hospitality experience at the iconic location of Old Trafford, giving a once-in-a-lifetime chance for a fan to be hosted in the home of Manchester United in a totally unique way,” Marriott Hotels vice president Manny Rappenecker said.
Manchester United’s director of partnerships, Sean Jefferson, said: “Marriott Hotels have thought of everything in creating this amazing fan experience at Old Trafford.”
“Whoever wins this opportunity will receive the same first-class hospitality as guests within any of their hotels, with the added excitement of being hosted at the Theatre of Dreams – one of the world’s most iconic football stadiums.”
When the winners arrive at the Marriott Hotels Suite of Dreams, they’ll begin a day of exciting VIP experiences at Old Trafford.
When they wake up in the suite, the first fans in the stadium on match day, they’ll be able to take in the view of the pitch from their suite while enjoying breakfast served by a familiar Manchester United face.
They’ll then be taken to one of the newly-refurbished Manchester United-themed suites at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel to freshen up for the day, before enjoying the match in the afternoon from the best seat in the house – the Marriott Hotels Seat of Dreams.
The Seat of Dreams is Marriott Hotels’ sofa in the stands at Old Trafford, which gives fans at every game the chance to experience matchday from a unique and coveted vantage point in the stadium while enjoying special perks, including complimentary food and drinks, early entry to the stadium, and the opportunity to sit alongside Manchester United legends.
The competition comes as part of a larger marketing partnership between Manchester United and Marriott Hotels, who in October became the club’s first-ever official hotel partner.
