Flight Club comes out swinging

The first rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club.

But these famous lines uttered by the flawless Brad Pitt have been flipped on their head for a new kind of club, one you should absolutely be talking about.

The first rule of Flight Club? You should always talk about Flight Club.

Flight Centre is coming out swinging with its brand new Flight Club, kicking off on Friday April 17, and offering consumers access to exclusive travel deals that can be booked online, in-store or over the phone.

But the deals, which will be a mix of Flight Centre’s airfares, multi-stop journeys and short breaks, can only be booked during specified fight times of Fridays between 10am and 12pm AEST.

Short haul bookings, typically domestic, will be able to be booked instantly online or over the phone, while some special deals will require customers to call in-store depending on how tricky the booking is to put together.

General manager of customer experience Darren Wright said Flight Club, much like Fight Club, rewards its members with exhilarating offers.

“Everyone loves a great deal so we created Flight Club to capture all those incredible deals we have access to so we can share them with our customers,” he said.

“We expect customers to be able to click, view and book online for deals such as domestic flights, while for a more complex booking, such as a 15-day European river cruise with flights, we’ll offer a unique promo code for the customer to take in-store or arrange over the phone.”

But throwing money at these sales isn’t as easy as throwing punches in Fight Club, because you’ve only got a two hour window to score your win.

New deals will be offered every week, with complex deals requiring in-store bookings staying open and available until the close of business day.

So while you’re not allowed to talk about Fight Club, you sure as hell should be talking about Flight Club, every Friday from 10am.
