Vakkaru Maldives welcomes new resort manager

Vakkaru Maldives is honoured to welcome new resort manager Jean-Noel Sangaraille (pictured above) to its close-knit team.

Sangaraille commenced his hospitality career in his homeland of Mauritius some thirty years ago at One and Only Le Saint Geran.

In 2013, Sangaraille joined One and Only Reethi Rah Maldives and for the last four years held the position of resort manager at Amilla Fushi Resort and Residences.

Serko appoints Jonathon Starkings to lead joint Booking.com partnership initiative

Serko Limited has appointed Jonathan Starkings as head of the Booking.com partnership to lead the initiative to develop and bring to market the Zeno solution with Booking.com for Business.

Starkings is an experienced travel technology executive who previously held roles as senior director of travel for EMEA at Groupon, commercial director at Expedia Group (Orbitz) and digital marketing and revenue director at Langham Hotels.

He will lead the multi-functional team at Serko across design, product and technology that is working hard to bring innovative solutions to the SME business travel market with Booking.com.

Sabre appoints Otto Gergye to lead airline operations in North Asia

Sabre Corporation has announced Otto Gergye as vice president and regional general manager of North Asia for its travel solutions airline sales.

Gergye, who brings more than 20 years of experience across the aviation and travel industry to Sabre, will be responsible for the company’s airline operations in North Asia, a key growth region.

His role will involve identifying business opportunities and further expanding Sabre’s already strong presence in this fast-growing region, as he seeks to strengthen successful and trusted relationships with existing airline customers.

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney welcomes Andrew Adams as director of operations

The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of hospitality professional Andrew Adams as director of operations at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney.

Adams brings over 25 years of hospitality industry knowledge and experience to the role. He previously worked for several luxury, five-star establishments including SBE Group, Four Seasons and The Peninsula.

Following a 13-year stint in the United States, Adams has returned home to Sydney to be part of The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts family.

He will be responsible for championing the hotel’s future food and beverage concepts, and to oversee the overall guest experience.
