Vanda Putri appointed as Junior Sales Manager for The Sanchaya, Bintan, Indonesia
With a strong sales and marketing background with stints in similar roles with Belmond Jimbaran Puri, Bali, Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions in Germany and as an online journalist with PT Kompas, Cybermedia in Jakarta, Ms Putri said she was thrilled to be part of The Sanchaya sales team.
With its strong focus on the Australian market for 2019/2020, she will work alongside Australian DOSM, Jared Green who said that the appointment of Vanda will allow them to concentrate on the Australian and New Zealand markets and they will be visiting Australia in June this year.
Banyan Tree Phuket announces two strategic hires to lead sales and marketing team
Banyan Tree Phuket is proud to announce the dual appointments of Chatuporn Srisoi as Director of Events, and Filipa Carvalho De Sousa as Director of Marketing Communications. This announcement comes as part of the resort’s renewed commitment to being a preferred destination, as the Banyan Tree brand prepares to celebrate its 25-year anniversary.
Chatuporn Srisoi (Eve) is no stranger to the island of Phuket and the Laguna area, having previously worked at Splash Beach Resort. With a 10-year background in sales and reservations, Ms Srisoi possesses extensive knowledge of the Phuket market. Her unbridled energy and experience will lead the Banyan Tree Phuket Events team toward new heights.
Also joining Banyan Tree management team is its new Director of Marketing Communications, Filipa Carvalho De Sousa. Arriving from the U.A.E. with eight years’ experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Ms De Sousa previously served as Director of Communications at Rosewood Abu Dhabi. Her passion for people, digital marketing and social media will find plenty of expression as Banyan Tree Phuket expands its active online presence.
De Sousa will oversee the resort’s new digital marketing and social media strategy for Banyan Tree Phuket, generating excitement for another lively year filled with special promotions and events.
Nanuku’s sea change
Nanuku Auberge Resort, Pacific Harbour, Fiji is thrilled to welcome Anna Ratucoki to the position of Lailai Kids Adventure Club Manager.
Hailing from nearby Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, Ratucoki brings a wealth of experience providing the highest level of safety, supervision and care for young guests.
In addition, Nanuku is honoured to announce Mosese “Moji” Nabulivou to the role of Nanuku’s resident Marine Biologist & Environmental Guardian. Moji brings an intricate knowledge of not only marine science but also wastewater management, environmental analysis and Biology, Chemistry and Physics teaching.

John Thompson has assumed the position of Head of Commercial – Minor Hotels, Australia and New Zealand, responsible for driving and overseeing the brand’s business growth and commercial strategy in these key markets, where it currently operates over 50 properties.
Melissa Rodrigues has meanwhile joined the company as Director of Brand & Marketing – Minor Hotels, Australia and New Zealand, stationed at the brand’s Sydney office.
On a property level, Oaks Hotels & Resorts has appointed Shaun O’Bryan as General Manager of Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley.
