Fiji’s Naidiri Marine Biodiversity Park, renowned for its leading coral and marine conservation efforts, announces it is now offering snorkelling experiences to tourists.

The new activity allows guests to experience the park’s incredible conservation efforts firsthand. Seeing the vibrant and healthy marine ecosystem makes it the perfect snorkelling experience.

Admission fees will be used village-wide, to help benefit the local community and support the cost of marine restoration, coral planting, staff training, and village infrastructure.

Since its official inauguration in 2022, the park’s Marine Protected Area (MPA) has grown to include a permanent area of 160m x 180m and a temporary area of 330m x 180m.

    The park aims to:

    • Restore: Replenish fish stocks in the ‘qoliqoli’ areas, a critical food source for the community.
    • Preserve: Safeguard the coral reefs of Fiji which continue to be threatened by climate change.
    • Nurture: Educate and inspire the youth to reconnect with nature, fostering a sense of responsibility for the environment’s future.
