Cunard flagship Queen Mary 2 has taken fashion to the seas, playing host to the first ever Transatlantic Fashion Week this week.

The elegant ocean liner made its way from Southampton to New York, with the fashion-themed itinerary of events led by world-renowned British designer, fashion queen Dame Zandra Rhodes CBE, who has dressed some of the world’s best-known style icons including Freddie Mercury, Jackie Onassis and former Cunard passenger Elizabeth Taylor.

Dame Rhodes showcased her latest collection onboard, and was joined by style commentator Colin McDowell MBE and New York Fashion Week Founder Fern Mallis for a series of inspirational talks.

The seven-night voyage also featured glamorous dinners and exclusive first look runway shows with collections from the world’s most famous fashion college, the Royal College of Art’s 2016 graduates, worn by models from London’s Storm agency.

Queen Mary 2 will reach New York on September 8, as New York Fashion Week starts.
