Harry Potter has cast a spell over muggles around the world with hundreds still flooding in for a taste of the magical world almost two weeks after its official opening.

From Butterbeer to Jumping Frogs and Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, Potter fans were buzzing with excitement through the cobblestone streets of Hogsmeade Village at Hollywoods Universal Studios.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter took more than five years in the making and is inspired by both J.K Rowlings stories and characters and the Warner Bros. films.

The theme park features some of the film’s most iconic scenes including the Three Broomsticks, a rustic tavern where guests can enjoy a serving of bangers and mash or a sticky toffee pudding, and Ollivanders, where a worker guides guests as the wand chooses its owner.

Hogwarts Castle is at the heart of the park and towers over the village, casting a shadow on the snow-capped roofs lined up in an orderly fashion alongside one another.

Inside, visitors walked through narrow stone passageways, Dumbledores office and dormitories ahead of the signature ride, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

The 3D simulation left legs hanging as guests soared high above Hogwarts on their broomsticks, alongside Harry and Ron.

Guests only just escaped the flaming breath of a dragon attack and a beating from the Whomping Willow as they flew past some of the most memorable movie scenes.

Outside the towers, shops were packed to the brim as people battle to get their hands on a jumping frog or a bottle of pumpkin juice.

While Universal said they dont release park attendance numbers, a spokesperson confirmed to AAP the line to the theme park was in the thousands.

Hollywoods Wizarding World was highly anticipated by fans and has since seen thousands of guests walk through its front gates since opening earlier this month.
