Familiar face returns to Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific as GM

Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific has announced the appointment of Cameron Abbott as general manager.

Abbott is no stranger to Terrigal, having led the Crowne Plaza team at the 199-room property back in 2012 as hotel manager.

He joined parent company InterContinental Hotels Group in 2005, and has worked at Crowne Plaza, InterContinental and Holiday Inn hotels across Australia, Fiji and Malaysia.

Most recently, Abbott was the general manager of Holiday Inn Resort Penang in Malaysia.

Commenting on his appointment, Abbott said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return to Terrigal for this role.

“Like many of our guests, I have been drawn back to the area by the idyllic location, the people, sense of community and, of course, that quintessential Central Coast charm.”

Abbott’s appointment coincides with the opening of the newly-renovated Terrigal Beach House.

Based on the ground floor of the hotel, Terrigal Beach House offers multi-purpose dining and social spaces comprised of a light and bright indoor restaurant; an eye-catching, 30-metre-long bar; and an expansive vibrant outdoor beach terrace.

The unveiling of Terrigal Beach House comes just over a year after Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific completed its first full renovation in 10 years.
