Experience Co hires new sales chief

Julia Volz has been appointed to the newly created head of sales position for Skydive Australia, an operation owned by ASX-listed adventure tourism company Experience Co.

Volz (pictured above) has an extensive background in adventure tourism, working for companies such as Lets Go Surfing, Big Bus Tours and, most recently, Northern Beaches Council in Sydney.

In her new role, Volz will be responsible for driving sales and revenue for Skydive Australia, as well as exploring new distribution and partnership opportunities.

Experience Co CEO John O’Sullivan said Volz’s appointment is part of the company’s long-term vision to create positions that will help it grow “a strong business base after a challenging 18 months”.

“We look forward to working with Julia and benefiting from her strong industry relationships,” he said.

Commenting on her appointment, Volz said: “I’m excited about the opportunities this new role presents. With Skydive being one of the three major divisions of Experience Co, there are many opportunities to grow the business.

“It’s exciting to have been offered this dedicated role in one of Australia’s leading tourism organisations.”

Based in Sydney, Volz will also spend a lot of time at each of Skydive Australia’s 13 drop zones located across the country.
