Excite promotes US with major agent campaign

Excite Holidays has launched a major US campaign, partnering with several key USA tourism boards and supplier partners to show travel agents “a different side of the US”.

The online travel wholesaler described the “Live Like a Local” campaign as its biggest campaign to date.

“The purpose of this campaign is to provide travel agents with insider information to help them sell the USA to their clients. Many consumers are already familiar with the USA, but through our campaign we hope to empower travel agents with local knowledge which will help them put together the trip of a lifetime for their clients,” general manager global sales Andrew Yell said.

“We’ve also worked hard to ensure we have the sharpest rates for the USA destinations agents book the most, so when travel agents choose Excite Holidays, they can be sure that their clients will be getting the best rate, and they’ll be rewarded, too.”

Each fortnight, a new destination will be announced and agents will have the chance to win a trip to that destination by booking with Excite Holidays. In addition, agents will earn 1000 bonus rewards points for every night booked in that destination.

For the next two weeks, travel agents who book accommodation in L.A. with Excite Holidays will have the chance to win a trip to the City of Angels, including a flight voucher, five nights’ accommodation and activities.

The campaign website (www.exciteholidays.com/campaigns/usa) is now online, offering travel agents information about off-the-beaten-track experiences and local secrets as well as a downloadable destination flyer to give to their clients.
