Economy gets ergonomic neck pillow on Etihad

Etihad have introduced a number of new enhancements to its inflight offering in all classes, including a “revolutionary” ergonomic pillow, which converts into a neck pillow in economy.

The airline will add the enhancements to its long-haul cabins initially, before upgrading its entire fleet.

Changes include a luxury hotel-style reception for first class passengers, in line with the experience of staying at a high-end property, which includes a personalised welcome letter from the cabin manager. First class will feature new chinaware and menu’s, including a ‘Caf√© Gourmand’ experience.

Meanwhile, business class passenger will receive new cotton loungewear, slippers and a mattress and turndown service.

The economy class cabin has also been refreshed with fleece blankets now the ‘standard’ onboard, and passengers flying long-haul will now receive a cotton drawstring amenity kit with reversible eye-masks printed with “Do Not Disturb” on one side and “Wake me up for Meals” on the other.

The “revolutionary” new pillow, unique to Etihad according to the carrier, has been designed to convert from a standard pillow to a neck pillow, providing neck support and improved comfort.
