‘Drunken fight’ on airplane escalates to full on brawl on airport shuttle bus

A couple have been filmed fist fighting on an airport shuttle bus, as horrified onlookers attempt to break up the brawl.

The pair had reportedly landed at Spain’s Alicante Airport on 26 October from Birmingham just moments before, after allegedly getting into a “drunken fight” on their Ryanair plane, Metro reported.

Witnesses to the incident, which occurred on an airport shuttle bus, said the situation “exploded” when a full-on brawl broke out on camera between the couple.

The footage begins with the woman straddling the man and repeatedly punching him on the head, as he seemingly attempts to block her punches, while seated on the ground. Passengers on board attempt to break up the fight.

In another moment, the man then attacks the woman while they are both standing, swinging to punch her in the face repeatedly, before she screams and covers her face.

One passenger who allegedly witnessed the fight told Britain’s The Sun that the incident was “mortifying” and that the couple were in a “very fresh relationship”.

She added that she “found the thing embarrassing” and “I just thought to myself, ‘oh, here we go, typical Brits abroad’.

“We have no idea what they’d argued about, but when it kicked off things escalated so quickly we couldn’t imagine what had been said.

“At various points, one or the other was sat on top of the other punching them in the head, and people intervened to break it off. I mean, they were really going for it – landing proper punches at each other,” she said.

A Ryanair spokesperson told The Sun that the crew of “this flight” from Birmingham to Alicante requested police assistance upon arrival after several passengers became disruptive.

“This is now a matter for local police.”

Travel Weekly has contacted Ryanair for comment.
