Delta offers free flights to help students attend DC gun protests

Here’s lovely little feel-good story to brighten your Monday.

Delta airlines are helping hundreds of high school students participate in an anti-gun violence protest in Washington by donating three round-trip charter flights.

Delta said the donation was “part of our commitment to supporting the communities we serve.” reports AP via ABC.

It’s not the first time Delta has become involved in the gun control debate.

In the wake of last month’s horrific school shooting that left 17 students and teachers dead, the airline declared it would no longer offer discounted fares to members of the National Rifle Association, reports AP.

Marches are also scheduled for New York, Chicago, Houston and the site of the shooting, in Parkland, Florida.
