Cunard’s QE sails poppies to Gallipoli

With a hint of red on board, Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth has finished its AUS & NZ WW1 commemorations on board its ship and is now bound for Gallipoli.

Following her Australian and New Zealand visits, the QE received 11 500 poppies in representation of the soldiers who lost their lives in WW1.

The full poppy wall, alongside a remembrance book, will become the centrepiece of a service that will take place onboard in the waters of the Gallipoli Peninsula . The service will be held on the eve of the Anzac centenerary.
