An Australian cruise wholesaler is winding up its operations amid uncertainty around the coronavirus outbreak and its ongoing impact.

A member of the reservations team at Cruisefusion confirmed to Travel Weekly that the business was no longer accepting new bookings, but expects to continue operating until 2022 to honour existing bookings.

Cruisefusion is the wholesale arm of retail business Cruise1st, and was created “to answer a need in the Australian market for competitive, exclusive, international cruise packages, and to provide a system to dynamically package and book cruise, air and hotel quickly and simply from a single platform,” according to its website.

The company also supplies free marketing images to travel agents for upload to social media, Facebook and websites.

It also appears Cruise1st isn’t immune from the impact of coronavirus, either, with the business alerting customers that it is working on all affected bookings “as quickly as possible” in order of departure date.
