This time we talk to Contiki Holidays’ Head of Sales Nathaly Naughton.

I’m motivated to step out of my comfort zone

The travel industry is dynamic and ever-changing.

I enjoy being in this environment because I’ve found it encourages me to step out of my comfort-zone, try new experiences and work hard to develop my career.

Facing challenges drives you forward

Working in South Africa presented me with differing attitudes towards race and women in the workplace, which was a tough environment to navigate.

However, overcoming these challenges by helping women move forward in their career was a big achievement and certainly shaped me moving forward.

Mentor rising talent

I think it’s really important to challenge up-and-coming talent with their business acumen.

Spend time with employees by going through numbers and helping them understand the overall business.

This means they will develop the skills that are often neglected until they have a job that requires them – by which time it’s a much bigger task!

Travel Weekly is proud to present the Women in Travel Awards held on 27 November at Doltone House Darling Island.

The awards night will be a gala cocktail party where we will also be announcing Travel Weekly’s Power List – recognising the 30 most influential women in the Australia travelscape.

More than just recognition, the Awards provide an opportunity for new business opportunities and network expansion, as well as a chance to learn from some of the most empowering and inspiring women in your industry.

Come along, gush over winners and finalists, and mingle with the industry’s best.
