Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has fired up its megaphone and announced that its 2017 Masters Conference will take place onboard the luxury Genting Dream, cruising from Hong Kong.

Designed for travel agents who show some serious skill in cruise industry accreditation, the annual Conference combines intensive training sessions with a firsthand cruise experience.

Returning to oversee CLIA Australasia’s 19th Masters, US-based sales guru and motivator Scott Koepf will lead this year’s conference sessions, which will focus on how the cruise industry is evolving and how consultants can take advantage of the sector’s growth.

After completing the course and a comprehensive post-conference assignment, agents will enter the prestigious CLIA Cruise Masters’ ranks.

This year’s conference commences in Hong Kong on September 16, with agents enjoying one-night pre-cruise accommodation before boarding Genting Dream for a five-night cruise which will include visits to Naha and Miyakojima in Japan.

Launched in Hong Kong last November, Genting Dream is one the most luxurious ships in Asia. Guests will be able to enjoy Bistro by Mark, the first restaurant at sea for internationally acclaimed Australian Chef Mark Best, as well as the first Johnnie Walker tasting bar at sea and wines from the Penfolds Wine Vault.

CLIA Australasia Managing Director Joel Katz said he expected the Masters Conference to be very popular.

“The opportunity to sail on one of the most exciting new ships to be launched in Asia should make this year’s Masters event particularly memorable,” Katz said.  “Spaces are limited so we are encouraging agents to register early.”

The conference is open to all consultants who hold CLIA Ambassador level accreditation and are employed by a CLIA member travel agent.

Participation fees for the 2017 event are $1880 per person twin share. Single and non-delegate rates are available. Airfares are not included. For more details and to book visit the CLIA website here.
