Bucket-list adventures grow in Canada

Three new activities have been added to the popular Canadian Signature Experiences (CSE) collection, to further boost interest in exploring outer regions of Canada.

The 2015 debutants include Spring Caribou Migration in Nunavut, Historic Li-lik-hel Mine Expedition in British Columbia, and The Rat’s Nest Adventure Tour in Alberta.

Visitors to the Arctic Watch Wilderness Lodge on Ennadai Lake, Nunavut, can expect to see hundreds of thousands of Qamanirjuaq caribou sweep north to their calving grounds during the spring caribou migrationCariboo

Winner of the 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, Canmore Cave Tours offers a spelunker’s delight with the The Rat’s Nest Adventure Tour, giving guests the opportunity to climb, crawl, slither and rappel on a guided tour of this Provincial Historic Site.

The three-day horseback tour, Historic Li-lik-hel Mine Expedition, is the final new addition to the collection and will take back to British Columbia’s rich gold-mining past in wild-west themed township of Pemberton, nestled deep within the coastal mountain ranges of the Canadian Pacific Ocean.

“Through the Canadian Signature Experiences collection, tourism entrepreneurs do a great job showcasing to the world everything our country has to offer, while creating jobs and growth here at home,” Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism, and Agriculture), Honourable Maxime Bernier, said.

The new additions take the total CSE member list to 186 which range urban gems and active nature pursuits to wilderness and wildlife encounters and connecting with Canada’s people and past.
