Bench Africa GM Cameron Neill exits

After eight years with Bench Africa, but less than 12 months as general manager, Cameron Neill has decided to leave the company.

Neill kicked off his stint at Bench Africa in August 2012 as its state manager across Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, before becoming the company’s trade relations manager in January 2018, and then GM in March last year.

Bench Africa’s director of operations and groups, Julie De Palo, said Neill was vital in forming a strategy for the company’s future amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and in keeping staff morale high at a time when it was needed most.

“We are sad to see a valued member of our tribe go, but very much respect his decision to focus on other endeavours,” she said in a statement to Travel Weekly.

“We would like to thank Cameron for leading us through the last 11 months and we wish him the very best of luck in whichever direction he takes.”
