Amadeus appoints Chief Commercial Officer of Distribution

Amadeus has appointed Eugene Chan as the Chief Commercial Officer of Distribution, to lead its travel agency distribution commercial business in Asia Pacific.

Eugene will be responsible for commercial P&L growth across various geographies in the APAC region and lead the distribution commercial teams.

Eugene’s appointment builds on this momentum. He has an impressive travel and technology background, with Asia Pacific in his DNA. His enthusiasm, experience and customer-focused approach will benefit in further consolidating and growing our leadership position in the region.”

Previously, Eugene has held senior leadership roles for BCD Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) and a number of leading financial and technology companies in Asia Pacific. With an extensive experience in the GDS business and understanding of the travel landscape in this region, he will take the lead to drive Amadeus’ sustained growth and success and scale the business to greater heights.

Eugene takes over from Leon Herce, who was been with Amadeus Asia Pacific for more than 5 years. Leon relocates to Buenos Aires, Argentina to lead and head up the Amadeus’ Distribution business in Latin America and the Caribbean.
