Aloha Friday Wrap: Kaanapali Beach Hotel upgrades, Agent recounts “spectacular” Hawaiian famil + MORE!

Yes, it’s that time again – time to work yourself up into a jealous rage over beautiful Hawaii and all the lucky agents who recently experienced it.

‘Hawaii’s most Hawaiian hotel’ to undergo major upgrades

Kaanapali Beach Hotel has announced the launch of the ‘Kealaula’ project to further enhance the establishment of Hawaiian culture throughout the property.

Launching in spring 2020, the beginning of the property renaissance is projected at $65 million ($96.9 million) and will involve a number of transformative enhancements.

These include a significant redesign to Kaanapali Beach Hotel’s 180-room Kauai Wing, a refresh of the property’s courtyard, the launch of a new oceanfront restaurant and an additional floor of parking.

Read more about the upgrades here.

Hawaii Tourism Oceania and NCL host ‘Legends Famil’

Last month, Hawaii Tourism Oceania co-hosted a famil with Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) that explored the Hawaiian Islands.

Beginning with a night at Alohilani Wakiki Beach Resort, the agents discovered Oahu and Waikiki before embarking on a seven-night cruise aboard NCL’s Pride of America, where they visited Maui, the Island of Hawaii and Kauai.

Find out what else they got up to here.

We also caught up with Simone Ryan from Phil Hoffman Travel to get her thoughts on the Hawaiian adventure on board Pride of America, which you can read here.

Oahu’s top family-friendly activities

The Hawaiian Islands are loved by families for plenty of good reasons: there’s loads to do for kids of all ages, there’s a variety of places to eat, often with free entertainment or a kids eat free option, and there’s a raft of family-friendly places to stay.

Beyond the beautiful beaches and hotels, there are some activities and attractions that will create lasting happy memories if your clients decide to explore further.

Here are 10 activities for families to experience when they’re on the island of Oahu.
