The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) has announced it will hold two key webinars to empower members with the tools necessary to navigate current and future challenges.

AFTA chief executive Jayson Westbury said the association recognises the “incredibly tough times” agents and the wider travel industry face amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our ‘Mental Health: Dealing with uncertainty and loss’ webinars with psychologist Fairlie Morgan and general manager Linny Hursthouse from leading workplace health psychology organisation CareerBuilders will give you tools and techniques to make sure you’re in the best place to move forward,” he said.

“As well as looking at the actual impact of uncertainty and loss on mental health, Linny and Fairlie will also take us through strategies to cope and highlight the available support mechanisms.

“It’s more important than ever before for us all to make sure we are in the best possible place to cope. We also have the Easter break coming up and my recommendation to everyone is to take this time to switch off, recharge and have a break.”

The first mental health webinar will take place tomorrow (Tuesday 7 April) at 11am. Members can register for the AFTA webinars here.
