Adventure World embraces pioneer spirit

Adventure World has stepped up its partnership with the Australian Museum through the launch of a new exhibit: Trailblazers: Australia’s 50 greatest explorers. The exhibit was launched last night at a gala dinner at the museum, where several hundred media and trade partners were invited to take a sneak peak walkthrough.

The event brought together some of Australia’s living legends of adventure and exemplars in humanitarian fields, including yachtswomen Jessica Watson and Kay Cottee, astronaut Paul Scully-Power and palaeontologist and climate scientist Dr Tim Flannery. The keynote address was given by legendary explorer and philanthropist Dick Smith, who urged guests to maintain the spirit of adventure despite a rapidly changing global landscape.

Neil Rodgers, general manager, Adventure World said, “We are delighted to be presenting partner for this exciting and major new exhibition.

“Partnering with the Australian Museum on such an incredible exhibition that profiles some of Australia’s most epic adventurers has such a strong synergy with Adventure World and what we offer travellers; new frontiers, untamed wilderness and incredible discovery.

“While we may not all want to scale mountains or sail the world solo, this exhibition of our countrymen and women’s incredible achievements will no doubt provide Australians with some fantastic inspiration for future adventures. Adventure World offers a vast range of tailor-made journeys that will allow Australians to get off-the-beaten track, into the heart of local cultures but without compromising the creature comforts.”

The Trailblazers exhibition opens at the Australian Museum today.
