Webjet has increased its full year profit guidance on the basis of operating results to the end of March.

Managing director John Guscic said the firm now anticipates an after tax profit of no less than $13 million in the year to June 30, up 18% on the previous year.

The forecast was on the “general assumption that trading conditions do not deteriorate during the June quarter”.

April’s trading was in line with the upward trend, Guscic added.

Webjet had previously forecast a profit of at least $12.1 million, 10% above on the $11m million in 2010/11.
