Unique North takes to Copenhagen
By admin

Former Bentours business development manager René Kristensen is opening a new Incoming Tour Operator office in Copenhagen.

Following eight years working with the same company, Kristensen has joined the Unique North team to open the Copenhagen office in January 2015, which will focus on expanding international markets.

Kristensen kickstarted his tourism career in Adelaide with Kangaroo Island Sealink, before making the move to Sydney and Bentours International.

But Kristensen has decided to return to his birth country of Denmark to further his career, with a focus on Australian travel.

In Denmark, he has successfully developed a growing sales market at a reputable Incoming Tour operator / DMC, working B2B with Australia & New Zealand, as well as working on product development and purchasing in Scandinavia, the Baltics and Russia.

Unique North is an Incoming Tour Operator with its head office in Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city, and has offices in Norway and Germany as well.

The new office in Copenhagen will be headed up by Kristensen as director, and will provide specialists travel services in areas such as FIT, group travel, tour series, MICE markets, and fully escorted tours.

Unique North was recently awarded the prestigious Gazelle Award, which is given to the fastest growing companies in Denmark, by the Danish Business newspaper Boersen.

Kristensen’s expansive product knowledge and unique understanding of Australian and New Zealand markets is a key advantage to offering quality assistance to customers of the Copenhagen office, alongside a strong and experienced team.
