The 2015 line-up for the popular St, George Openair Cinema in Sydney has been launched and is tipped to be the biggest programme ever.

Some 42 films, including seven Premiere and 13 Preview screenings, along with a selection of this summer’s major releases from award-winning directors are set to brighten up moviegoers nights, and encourage international tourists to see a different side to the city.

From January 7 – February 21, 2015, the annual iconic summer event returns to Mrs Macquaries Point and will begin with the Australian premiere of The Theory of Everything.

On Australia Day, audiences are invited to a 21st birthday of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and in her honour, patrons are invited to wear their wigs, tiaras and feather boas to the screening.

Also, The Daily Show's Jon Stewart in his directorial debut with Rosewater will take to the screen on February 1.

Tickets go for pre-sale on Monday 8 December at 9am.
