Singapore Airlines has again warned of difficult operating conditions with yields likely to be hit.

The carrier said the continuing need to stimulate demand to boost declining yields “will place downward pressure on yields”.

Load factors across its network fell in November with the exception of the Americas and Europe. In South West Pacific, loads slipped 0.7 percentage points to 79.2%.

Revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) declined 0.4% while capacity increased 0.5%. The disparity led to an overall load factor of 77%, down from 77.7%.

The airline carried 1.54 million passengers in November, up 0.7%.

Singapore subsidiary, Silk Air, saw RPK rise 4.5% but with the number of available seats increasing more than 13%, loads fell 5.6 points to 68.8%.
