Etihad Airways has commenced direct services between Abu Dhabi and Sao Paolo in Brazil – the airline's first destination in South America – as its Airbus A340-500 touched down at Guarulhos International Airport on Saturday.

The airline said: "The new Brazil service marks Etihad Airways' entry into its sixth continent and an important step in increasing its presence across the BRIC high growth nations."

The airline has also relocated its Australian and Asia Pacific South regional office to new, larger Sydney premises located at Level 26 at 1 O'Connell Street in the city's CBD. All telephone and fax numbers remain the same.

 

Star Alliance has launched a new trade incentive run exclusively through Air Tickets offering agents the chance to win one of two Piaggio scooters.
