Construction has started on the world's first NEXT hotel in Brisbane, SilverNeedle Hospitality has confirmed.

The new business-focused brand will debut on the site of the Chifley at Lennons hotel in the centre of Brisbane, due for completion by mid-2014.

 

Toga Hotels has acquired the heritage Hotel Kurrajong in Canberra which will become the Travelodge Kurrajong following an extensive internal refurbishment.

 

Travelport has confirmed Quickbeds.com content will be added to its Rooms and More booking engine, adding an additional 4,200 Australian-based hotels to its database.

Etihad Airways will launch four times weekly direct flights to Yemen's political and commercial capital, Sana'a, on September 1, 2013.

Sana'a will be the airline's eighth destination beyond Abu Dhabi on the Arabian Peninsula.
