The challenge for the industry is… For the adventure sector its convincing people that adventure travel doesn’t equate to hiking boots and bungee jumping.

The things I like about my job are… The people I work with and the stories I hear from our travellers about the life changing experiences they’ve had on their trips.

And the frustrations… Having only four weeks leave a year for my own travel. Everyday I change my mind on where I’d like to go next!

If I didn’t work in travel I would be a… An aerobics instructor – but 80’s style in the fluoro lycra. Or an AFL coach.

Qantas or Virgin? They have both been very good to me.

My proudest moment was… Realising just how good a team we have assembled at G Adventures.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… Wagging school in year 10 to attend a Bruce Springsteen concert.

I try to relax by… Spending time with my nieces and nephew aged 2-4. Apparently this makes me a PANK (Professional Aunt, No Kids). To them I’m not an MD, I’m Aunty Bel, and I read good stories.

The last time I feared for my life… Was at a Geelong –v- Collingwood game and Geelong were winning. I’m not good at hiding my excitement.

If I can, I always try to avoid… Crocs. Not the reptiles. The hideous plastic shoes people wear. Fashion crime.

I really wish I had… The cure for cancer.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… Back yourself. You’ll be right

I don’t understand why… Alcohol has to have so many calories

My greatest weakness is… Shoes. I love shoes, hence my distaste of Crocs. Oh and Twisties from 7/11 on the way home from the pub.

And my greatest strength… Not sweating the small stuff.

If I was prime minister I would… Give everyone more annual leave to go out and explore the world.

If I won $1 million on the lottery I would… Give some to cancer research and take my nieces and nephew on an eye opening adventure.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be… An AFL footballer on grand final day – but a premiership winner, not a runner up.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… West Africa.

My favourite holiday was… Antarctica including South Georgia – you have to go to South Georgia. And the gorillas in Uganda…and a canal boat in Burgundy…how long have you got?
