The Singapore-based Far East Hospitality Group has confirmed it will grow its focus on the Australian market as it unveiled a range of offers to stimulate interest in the brand.

At a launch on Tuesday at Sydney's Rockpool Bar and Grill, the hotel group revealed plans for a two-month campaign that offers guests free guided walking tours, free gifts worth $80 and a host of other free benefits. Also, for guests staying at any one of the group’s properties between 19 July and 18 August, the hotelier offers free shopping vouchers worth $60 that can be used at Singapore's Orchard Central shopping centre.

Far East head for sales and distribution, Kevin Peeris, said that the brand is relatively unknown by travel agents in Australia but was confident this campaign is the first step in changing that perception.

The campaign is being billed as an "experiential festival" allowing travellers to get a sense for Singapore’s varied past and cultural richness.

Far East chief executive, Arthur Kiong said: “With our unique style of Singapore-inspired hospitality, we hope that more travellers and locals can rediscover our country’s past and present.”
