Keeping young families happy remains a top priority for Emirates, with over two million children carried last year alone.

With summer holidays looming, the airline is pulling out all the stops to keep the young ones entertained both in the air and on the ground.

“We know keeping the young ones happy is a key part of ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travelling experience for the whole family,” divisional senior vice president commercial operations centre Sheikh Majid Al Mualla said.

Before taking to the air, Emirates provides complimentary baby strollers and changing tables in the dedicated Terminal 3, along with play areas and toys in Emirates’ exclusive lounges. Priority boarding is also given to families with young children.

Once in the air, Emirates keeps the kids happy with special meals and an assortment of children’s channels with more than 60 kid-friendly movies, along with interactive games and music from the likes of One Direction and Katy Perry.

Kids are also given the chance to meet the new cuddly monsters, AirBoe and Oggie, as well as enjoy activity-filled backpacks, all provided on a complimentary basis.

Children even have their own frequent flyer program called Skysurfers, Al Mualla added. As part of the program, miles can be exchanged for free flights, toys, books and entry to attractions in Dubai.

“We go to great lengths to entertain and occupy children with products and services that are constantly being updated and enhanced,” Al Mualla said.
