Globus takes to the ice for 2015 brochure launch

Globus takes to the ice for 2015 brochure launch
By admin

Hot on the heels of a successful period for Globus, which is on track to exceed its previous best sales year for North America – recorded in 2013 – the escorted tour operator launched its US and Canada brochures for 2015 on Saturday night at Allphones Arena. Fittingly, the launch saw the company playing host to assorted media at an international ice hockey showdown.

With the US and Canada tied at two games apiece, having already played at several other Australian capitals, the finale promised to be a close affair and didn't disappoint. After Canada snatched an early two nil lead in the first period, the US slowly clawed back to tie the game at four all at the end of regular time. Then, early in sudden death extra time, Team USA scored the winner setting off wild celebrations, not least from some of Globus's US-leaning fans.

Pictured here enjoying the action are (from left): Nathan McLoughlin (account director, trade, Canada Tourism Commission), Joanne Motta (manager Australia-New Zealand, Destination British Columbia), Stewart Williams (managing director Australasia, Globus family of brands), Jo Palmer (managing director, Gate 7) and Christian Schweitzer (marketing manager Australasia, Globus family of brands).
