Helloworld is landing in Adelaide this weekend, with the Frontliners Conference bringing some of Australia’s top travel consultants and industry figures to the city for an engaging line-up of events.

Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, attendees will be inspired by keynote speakers including football superstar Harry Kewell and adventurer Jessica Watson OAM, not to mention a cocktail party on Friday at the Art Gallery of South Australia, and a Christmas-themed gala dinner and awards night on Sunday.

 

For the first time, Aranui Cruises is waiving the single supplement on a range of 2015 voyages, offering more solo travellers the chance to jump on board an adventure across the islands of Tahiti.

The cruise line has removed the standard 50% single supplement fee, creating a saving of almost $3000, with six voyages from April to August included in the line-up, which also features a special 30th anniversary cruise on April 25, with fireworks, a dinner show, giveaways and on board credit.

Brisbane Airport (BNE) has been named Capital City Airport of the Year at the Australian Airports Association National Airport Industry Awards held recently on the Gold Coast.

Airbiz, which was contracted by Brisbane Airport Corporation to prepare a comprehensive current and future flight path noise information booklet, was also awarded Corporate Project of the Year, giving BAC an even longer list of accolades for 2014.

 

Garuda Indonesia and Myanmar Airways International have signed a code share agreement between the two airlines, providing passengers between Myanmar and Indonesia with more convenient, seamless connections through the gateways of Singapore and Bangkok.

Under the agreement, Garuda Indonesia will place its GA marketing code on Myanmar Airways International’s flights between Bangkok – Yangon (vv) and Singapore – Yangon (vv).

In turn, Myanmar Airways International will place its 8M marketing code on Garuda Indonesia’s operations between Jakarta – Bangkok (vv) and Jakarta – Singapore (vv).

Gull is the man behind the winning bid of $6,400. However this morning, he announced Hamilton Island Weddings believed the cause to be worthy of a larger contribution, voluntarily increasing the bid to $10,000.

Amadeus has announced the appointment of Frédéric Barou as the new vice president of distribution, products and operations at Amadeus Asia Pacific, with his new role focusing on overall product marketing strategy, innovation and personalised business solutions.

Barou has been a member of the Amadeus family since 1999, with a history as vice president for sales and account management with Amadeus North America, where he oversaw client relationships with business travel companies.

China Southern Airlines will welcome the return of its A380 aircraft to Australia this summer, operating its flagship superjumbo on flights from Sydney.

The 506-seat aircraft will fly one of two daily services from Sydney to Guangzhou, boosting China Southern’s capacity over the peak travelling period.

Evergreen Tours has launched its first program of touring in Vietnam and Cambodia, kicking things off with an eight-day Mekong River Cruise on board the luxurious RV Mekong Navigator, with capacity for 68 guests and featuring signature dining, lounges, spas and a library.
