The signing of three hotels by SilverNeedle Hospitality has added around 200 keys to its expanding Australian network, taking its tally of new properties for 2013 to five.

Newcomers to the portfolio include the Sundowners Sundance Park in Tamworth, NSW and two new Country Comforts in the wine valleys of Victoria – Country Comfort Boulevard Motor Inn, Mildura and Country Comfort Murray Valley, Wodonga.

 

The New South Wales Government has pledged $400,000 in funding for a new Inland NSW Tourism campaign to promote the state's outback areas to take place in 2014.

The sum, to be awarded through the Regional Visitor Economy Fund, was confirmed yesterday by state ministers and takes the Outback campaign to a value of almost $800,000.

 

A group of 25 Australian travel agents will be carried off to Hawaii by Hawai’i Tourism Oceania and Hawaiian Airlines during the eight-night, two-island Experience Aloha famil.

From November 20 to 28, the agents will experience four nights on Kauai, Hawaii Island or Maui, followed by four nights on Oahu.

To be eligible, agents must ticket five international flight bookings with Hawaiian Airlines by September 12, complete one Papa Island Training Course and say in 50 words or less which Hawaiian Island they would like to visit and why.

Etihad Airways' inaugural service to Sana'a in Yemen took to the skies yesterday, with a high level Yemeni delegation on board.

The Airbus A320 service will operate four times weekly.

 

Tempo Holidays has released its 2014 Dubai Egypt brochure with its expanded product range including new 24-hour check-in hotels in Dubai.

The 66-page brochure also features holiday options throughout Jordan, Israel, Abu Dhabi, Lebanon and Oman.
