Jetstar to launch Brisbane-Hawaii service
By admin

Jetstar will ramp up competition between Queensland and Hawaii later this year with the launch of up to three weekly flights between Brisbane and Honolulu.

The A330 services will start on December 15 with one way fares starting from $299 in economy and $799 in business class.

The route will eventually be operated by the 787 Dreamliner.

Jetstar’s flights will go head to head with Hawaiian Airlines which launched three weekly services from Brisbane in November 2012 and earlier this week said it will operate a fourth flight from April 14.

Jetstar Australia and New Zealand chief executive David Hall said the carrier will operate three weekly flights during the peak season and twice in the off peak.

The route will be Jetstar’s second wide body service from Brisbane following the launch later this month of direct 787 services to Bali.
